Arrange for family and friends to help around the house during the first few weeks after birth. Newborns need to feed alot and you will not have the energy to be worrying about housework. If someone asks you what can they do to help, don't be afraid to answer them honestly.
After breastfeeding 2 of my children I find this tip very important. Newborns do need fed a lot and breastfeeding mothers can feel tied down and stressed when the house is upside down or the other children are needing attention and they are unable to deal with it due to breastfeeding demands.
