December 29, 2006, Newsletter Issue #110: Alternatives for the all night nurser

Tip of the Week

It can become exhausting for a mother to have her sleep constantly interrupted for nighttime feedings.
Breast milk is digested within 2 to 3 hours, so it is not uncommon or unreasonable for a baby to want to nurse at night. One method of dealing with this involves having your baby sleep with you. It is helpful to remember that babies often nurse at night because it is the only time they have momīs full attention.
